About The Ecosystem

Compliance information should not be this hard to assemble

A body corporate’s risk position is spread across a broker, a managing agent, a valuer, a fire consultant and whoever last worked on the roof. None of them holds the whole picture, and the trustees who carry the legal duty usually hold the least of it.

Why we exist

One picture, then the work to fix it

The Ecosystem started from a simple observation: almost every unpleasant surprise a scheme experiences was knowable in advance. The underinsured building had an expired valuation. The reduced fire claim followed years of unaddressed inspection findings. The special levy that upset owners existed because there was no maintenance plan to spread the cost.

None of that requires clairvoyance. It requires somebody to look at the whole scheme at once and say plainly what is missing.

So that is what we built first — a Health Check that scores the scheme against what the legislation requires and what insurers actually enforce, weighted by consequence rather than counted equally. Where a gap needs professional work, we have accredited people to do it. Where it does not, we say so.

The report is free and it is yours, whether you engage us afterwards or not.

How we work

Four things we hold ourselves to

01

Say what the gap costs

It is not useful to tell a trustee they are missing a document. It is useful to tell them that without it a claim is settled proportionally, and what that means for their scheme specifically.

02

Show the working

Every score is broken down item by item with its weight. A trustee has to be able to defend it at an AGM, which means it cannot be a black box.

03

Price before the call

Withholding a number until someone has sat through a sales meeting wastes everybody's time. Where we can calculate it, we show it.

04

Answer for the professionals

Valuers, assessors and trainers are vetted by us and accountable to us. A trustee should not have to manage a panel of suppliers.
